For our Ireland babymoon in January 2018, we spent 9 days on a DIY road-trip around Northern Ireland and Ireland. We absolutely loved Ireland. It’s a beautiful country and the people are so friendly. We can’t wait to go back some day and see the Southern part of the island.
These are our favorite photos and memories from the Ireland part of the trip!
#20 – I was less sure of falconry than Brian. A bit nervous here!
#19 – Random Stone. Clifden castle in the background.
#18 – Cliffs of Moher was crazy windy. I mean crazy. This is Brian bracing himself against the wind.
#17 – Ashford Castle. The castle that we wish we were staying at.
#16 – Just me. Castle hunting.
#15 – Entrance to Clifden Castle. So fancy.
#7 – Murphy’s Ice cream made with real sea salt from Dingle. So good.
#14 – The interior of Kilmanhaim Gaol. Very Art deco for a prison.
#13 – Temple Bar in Dublin. Love the way it was all lit up.
#12- Random tower along the Atlantic Coast. Really cool colors in this picture.
#11 – We wandered through tons of ruins. This is the altar at Corcomroe Abbey.
#9 – Poulnabrone Dolman. This portal stone in the Burren dates back to about 3000 years BC. Crazy. Looks like it might lead to another world.
#8 – Our little car. Brian wanted something fancier. We probably should have went with fancier, this little thing didn’t make it up the snowy hill to get to the Dark Hedges. We almost got stuck and had to turn around!
#6 – Sheep are everywhere in Ireland, but this one was very friendly and so cute!
#5 – We each got to pick one thing off our Bucket list to do before the baby came. I picked Neuschwanstein Castle and Brian picked the Guiness Factory in Ireland. This is him in front of one of Guiness’s marketing turtles.
#4 – The beautiful cliffs of Moher.
#3 – As soon as Brian leanred they have falconry classes in Ireland he wanted to go. So he found us a spot at Adare Manor on our last day in Ireland. He loved it and smiled like this the entire time!
#2 – Baby bump! 21 Weeks while we were in Ireland. This picture is on the estate lawn of Ballynahinch Castle.
#10 – Castle this way!
#1 – Rainbow over the ruins of Clifden Castle. Can it get more Irish than that?
